Powerpac-7

Powerpac-7  Soil and Water Probiotic is essentially a microbial bioremediation method. It works by ‘bio- augmentation’ or increasing the number of beneficial bacteria to maintain the biological balance of the aquatic environment.

Scientific efficacy and biological effects of the ingredients of Powerpac-7 :

Bacillus subtilis: Helps in the decomposition of organic matter, which improves water clarity and quality.

Bacillus licheniformis: Produces enzymes that help break down food and ensure optimal utilization of food.

Bacillus megaterium: Accelerates the nitrogen cycle process, reducing harmful ammonia levels.

Bacillus pumilus: Ensures a balanced microbial environment by suppressing the growth of harmful bacteria.

Bacillus polymyxa: Helps in rapid biofloc formation, thereby reducing feed costs.

Bacillus coagulans: Improves intestinal health, aids in nutrient absorption and digestion.

Bacillus clausii: Increases immunity against harmful bacteria such as Vibrio species.

How does Powerpac-7  work?

 

1. Activation of the nitrogen cycle (Nitrification & Denitrification):

Toxic ammonia (NH₃) is produced in the pond from uneaten food and fish waste. Powerpac-7 converts ammonia into the less harmful nitrate. Some anaerobic bacteria release it into the atmosphere as nitrogen gas, which reduces fish mortality.

2. Competitive Exclusion:

The beneficial bacteria in Powerpac-7 compete with the harmful bacteria (Vibrio) in the pond. Due to the high number of beneficial bacteria, the harmful pathogenic bacteria do not get the necessary nutrients and gradually disappear. It increases the number of beneficial microorganisms in the fish’s body and improves the body’s immunity. This is called the ‘Competitive Exclusion Principle’ in scientific terms.

3. Decomposition of organic matter:

The Bacillus species in Powerpac-7  are very effective in decomposing organic waste (sludge) accumulated at the bottom of the pond. They secrete various extracellular enzymes (such as protease, amylase, lipase) to break down solid waste. This cleans the black soil at the bottom and prevents the formation of harmful hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) gas. It is a chemolithotrophic bacteria that oxidizes toxic hydrogen sulfide and converts it into safe sulfate (SO^2-₄) compounds.

4. Chemical Stabilization of Water:

The use of Powerpac-7 regulates the use of dissolved oxygen (DO) in the water. It maintains a balance between carbon dioxide and calcium carbonate, keeping the pH of the water stable, which helps reduce fish stress.

5.Quorum Sensing Disruption:

Many harmful bacteria produce toxins after reaching a certain number, which is called ‘quorum sensing.’ Powerpac-7 disrupts this signaling system, so that pathogens cannot spread disease even if they increase in number.

6. Natural Plankton Bloom:

Powerpac-7  breaks down waste and releases nutrients (such as phosphorus and nitrogen) in a way that phytoplankton can quickly absorb. This increases the natural food supply in the pond and gives the water a nice greenish or brown color.

 

Ingredients:

Total microorganisms: Confirmatory analysis: Minimum 5 x 10⁹ CFU/gm (comprising 7 different Bacillus species).

Application rate and method during cultivation: Powerpac-7 200 grams per acre (in 1 meter water depth). Sprinkle Powerpack-7 evenly on the surface of the pond at 10:30 am. For best results, apply Powerpac-7 every week from the initial stage of the production cycle to its completion. Or as advised by the fisheries expert.

Dissolved Oxygen (DO) Levels: It is recommended to maintain DO levels above 4.5 ppm.

Special conditions: If disinfectants/antibiotics/organic acids have been applied to the pond, wait at least four days before applying Powerpac-7.

Consider doubling the dose as recommended by a fisheries expert in adverse pond conditions.

Weather Considerations: Avoid applying Powerpac-7 on cloudy or rainy days.

Storage: Store Powerpac-7  in a cool and dry place, at a temperature of 20°-40° Celsius. After using Powerpac-7, close the container tightly to prevent moisture from entering, as moisture can damage the quality of the product.
